Who am I? I’ve lost my way

Searching for a better day

I try to breathe, I hold it in

Nothing can hide what lies within

I’m a waste of space, I don’t exist

I find your face from the crowd amidst

Though I know you don’t see mine,

It’s a ghost that you can’t find

There is a void within my soul

Listen for my voice, but you’ll barely know

What to say, for I am gone

Faded from a faded song

But every time I voice my prayer

I fade right back into thin layers

I’m nothing now and was nothing then

And as the soft light fades, I breathe it in

I keep on climbing just to see

That all of you will always be

One more step ahead of me.
